An American news website, Reporterz, published an image allegedly showing 2Pac, who was gunned down in 1996, partying with the pop star.
Social media has been abuzz with this claim that rap legend Tupac Shakur is alive and well in Cuba.
Conspiracy
theorists have long claimed that 2Pac, who would now be 44, faked his own death.
The star, then 25, was
gunned down in a drive-by shooting in Las Vegas following a Mike Tyson fight in
1996.
American
website Reporterz published a doctored image of 2Pac allegedly partying with pop star Rihanna, 27, claiming it as proof that the rapper
has been in hiding for these last 19 years.
Mainstream media,
including British newspapers, have since picked up on the claims made by the website,
which has only 65 followers on Twitter.
However, a reverse
image search shows the picture above has been floating around online since
2012, when Rihanna posted it on Instagram.
At the time, we
reported the picture looks like a Photoshop job of Rihanna's face superimposed
on someone else - understood to be singer Faith Evans.

Reporterz describes
itself as a "news and entertainment company" and says "every
article is based on a true story - only the facts have been changed".
It claimed in the
'Pac/Rihanna piece: "It was Shakur who in 1996 was reportedly attending a
special event in Las Vegas, the Mike Tyson-Benson fight, and then afterwards
was brutally murdered.
"A day or so later
he is autopsied, then quickly cremated. There is no funeral. Nor is there any
record of a tribute or memorial.
"Now we know
exactly why it was because Tupac Shakur was never killed it is unclear why he
has been hiding.”
Another image
purporting to show Rihanna partying with 'Pac has been shared online.
The Mirror Online
picture desk also pointed out where this one has been cleverly spliced
together.
Some social media users are more keen to believe the idea
that their hero is living the high life in Cuba. Some people won't let their hero RIP! But only Rihanna can clear the air on this one.
