Naira rain for Falcons as players pocket millions of naira

It was naira rain for the glorious trophy-winning Super Falcons yesterday as the federal government released about N70 million to settle all the arrears of bonuses being owed them. Each player, we gathered pocketed about  N3m from the largesse. 
  The Minister of Sports and Chairman National Sports Commission (NSC), Dr Tammy Danagogo, who made the disclosure when he received the team at the Abuja National stadium said that the money has already been released to the General Secretary of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Barrister Musa Amadu, who disbursed it to the players. Amadu told Daily Sun  that each player pocketed $18,000 (about N3 million) for participating in the Africa Women Championship (AWC).
