The Lagos State Police Commissioner, Mr Cornelius Aderanti, made
the revelation during a familiarisation tour of the Apapa Command, explaining
that but for the timely intervention of the police, the man would have
succeeded in using his wife for money rituals.
The Police boss said the man wanted had
almost succeeded after he connived with two other men including an Islamic
cleric and they had shaved the hair on the woman’s private part after they had
hypnotized her. They also bought coconut, bitter kola, white handkerchief and
were preparing for the ritual when the police, acting on a tip off, busted into
the venue and arrested them and rescued the woman.
