A suspected serial killer, Femi Kuti, has allegedly confessed to killing about 50 people in his three years of being a cultist.The Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) of Ogun State Police Command, in its onslaught against cultists in the state, especially along Ijebu axis, arrested Kuti, an alleged key member of Black Axe in Ijebu Ode on Monday.
While parading the
suspect, the state Commissioner of Police, Mr Ikemefuna Okoye, at the Special
Anti-Robbery Squad headquarters, Magbon, Abeokuta, on Thursday, said the
suspect, upon interrogation, confessed that his group had killed no fewer than
50 people in the state.
He explained that the
suspect was arrested on information by members of the public, adding that his
arrest was a major boost to the command.
Okoye said members of
his (Kuti’s) gang engaged his men in a gun battle during which the suspect was
injured on the leg.
