At last, the designer of the national flag, Pa Michael Akinkunmi,
was Monday rewarded for his efforts several years after, as President
Goodluck Jonathan directed that he be placed on salary for life.
Also, a taxi driver, Mr. Umeh Usuah who returned N18m, a laptop, and other documents to an expatriate who forgot it in his cab, was also honoured with Member of the Order of Niger (MON) and rewarded with a house in the Federal Capital Territory.
A traffic warden, Cpl. Solomon Dauda; and a Chief steward at the presidency, Mr. Onuh Isaac, were each rewarded with a house in Federal Capital Territory, as well bagging Member of the Order of Niger (MON).
