Catholic priest declares gov ambition

A Catholic priest, Reverend Father Francis Eworo, has joined the list of aspirants vying for the position of governor of Cross River State in 2015.

Eworo, who declared his ambition in a statement issued to newsmen in Calabar on Thursday, said his wealth of experience as well as his understanding of the dynamics of the state informed his decision to vie for the seat.

He also said his ambition was borne out of the need to consolidate on the achievements of Governor Liyel Imoke and make the state economically viable through private sector driven initiatives.
