Justin Bieber was bum rushed in a Canadian nightclub by an over eager partier who tried in vain to tackle him...

It all went down at 3 am today at a Toronto nightclub. When JB left his safe VIP section to mingle with the regular folks... and that's when a male Club goer charged at him, got hold of his shirt (which he was wearing) and attempted to take him down, but failed.

The attacker was escorted out of the club as JB and his crew made a hasty retreat.

Sean Kingston in gang rape mess...(details)

File:Sean Kingston album.jpg

Sean Kingston sued $5m for alleged gang rape

A fresh lawsuit has emerged against Sean Kingston and his bodyguard for allegedly gang-raping a drunk teenager in the singer’s hotel room back in 2010.
22-year-old Carissa Capeloto is claiming she was forced to have sex with Sean, his bodyguard and another member of Sean’s band at a Seattle hotel in July, 2010. Capeloto says she had smoked marijuana and downed seven shots of vodka.

Capeloto says she was invited to the Pop singer’s hotel for a quick meet-and-greet but instead meet a naked Sean Kingston waiting for her in bed. All three men according to her went on to gang rape her while she was ‘obviously intoxicated, incapable of consent’.
Capeloto is asking for the sum of $5m.

The case was reported to the Police back then but criminal charges against Kingston were dropped after cops concluded Capeloto wasn’t credible enough for a legit case.

Trial kicks off in November.

Get ready for ‘No Music Day’ September 1...

Nigerian Music Industry Coalition has lined out activities to once again celebrate this year’s ‘No Music Day’, which holds on September 1 of every year.

The event focuses attention on the widespread infringement of the rights of composers, song writers, performers, music publishers and other stakeholders in the Nigerian music industry.

Speaking at the coalition’s headquarters in Lagos, Secretary of the Association of Music Business Professionals (AM.B-Pro), Efe Omorogbe said, “music is our business; we will protect it with everything we have. We will not let anyone or any organization destroy all that we have labored so hard to build. This is the focus of No Music Day. The theme of this year’s celebration is: Keep the Music Alive. This is a call to the government of our great nation, Nigeria, and to all lovers of good music to join the Nigerian music industry in solidarity to put an end to the blatant abuse of our rights which in itself is a threat to creativity.”
As part of activities for the day, the coalition has requested all broadcast stations and major users of music across the country not to broadcast music between the hours of 8am to 10am on Sunday, September 1, as a mark of solidarity with the nation’s creative industry.

War Of Words! WizKid Reacts To J-Martins...

wizkid-Jmartins

Just yesterday, Diamond Celebrities  reported that J-martins had blasted WizKid over the comment he made to a fan in question. Here is what Diamond Celebrities reported that J-martins said  recently on Hot FM 98.3 Abuja...

"I’m not taking any side, don’t mean no beef, no disrespect, and no hate but let the truth be told. I don’t believe because you feel you have a few change you didn’t have a few years ago and which you cannot guarantee having in a few years to come then you wake up and look at those people who have cheered you up, loved you, supported your music, bought your CD’s, prayed for you, just because you can lay your hands on some phone and you call them ‘poor’. Am not in and will never be in support of anyone who has such bad attitude.
“It needs to be corrected, we owe our fans the duty of being good examples that’s why they hold us in high esteem, that’s why you are a role model and if you know you cannot be a good role model you have no business in Music. You don’t know if it’s that person that might help you tomorrow, whoever does that should be checked.
“You have to decide why you are in the music industry. If you know you cannot be a role model then you have no business being there”

WizKid took to twitter not too long ago to defend himself and also state that he’s disappointed in J-Martins for making such a statement.

American Idol: Why P.Diddy Rejects Judging Together with Jennifer Lopez

American Idol: Why P.Diddy Rejects Judging Together with Jennifer Lopez

Sean Combs, P’Diddy, has rejected a judging role on the upcoming 13th season of the American Idol because his ex-passion Jennifer Lopez signed up for another series of the show.

The American rap icon, who dated the J.Lo in 1999, refused the opportunity because of his romantic history with the singer and also because he used to be attached to her current manager Benny Medina.
P’Diddy was quoted to have said it’s “her or me” with regard to him appearing on American Idol. He finally decided he could not work at such closeness with his ex-girlfriend, Lopez.

Lopez, who was an Idol judge for the 2011 and 2012 seasons, reportedly approached the organizers about returning to the show because its production schedule in Los Angeles would allow her to spend more time with her children, 5-year-old twins Emme and Max, who will be starting school soon

2 Chainz Arrested in Oklahoma

2 Chainz

2 Chainz was one of 11 men arrested after his tour bus was pulled over in Oklahoma early this morning, KOKH-TV confirms. Cops were locked out of the tour bus and had it towed to a police training facility, where they waited nine hours for a search warrant.

All 11 men ranging from ages 21 to 52 were booked into the Oklahoma City jail on a misdemeanor obstruction of a public officer charge for locking authorities out of the bus.
The driver was suspected of using drugs which, judging by his tweets, Chainz doesn't believe. "Don't ask me ask OKC police department what they found on the bus,,,,u won't get an answer because nuthn was found," he wrote this afternoon, apparently tired of being singled out. "This s-- will make u go crazy our bus gets pulled 1 a week and they always say I smell weed I need to search ur bus. S--- gets tiring."
Police haven't confirmed that a substance was found.
Chainz, birth name Tauheed Epps, was in town for a stop on the America's Most Wanted tour with Lil Wayne and T.I. According to TMZ, Tip and Weezy traveled to the next location via private plane.

5 young music video directors giving Clarence Peters a run for his money...

Clarence Peters has pretty much strong-armed the music video game. But times are changing and there are new kids on the block who are ready to challenge him. Here is a list of the new men behind the lenses.

Adasa Cookey
                                                  Adasa Cookey

1) Adasa Cookey-  Although he has a background in telecommunications, Adasa Cookey ditched the corporate world for entertainment. He hit pure gold in 2012 when he directed a music video for then little known Burna Boy. ‘Like To Party’ was one of the freshest music videos of last year and launched Adasa Cookey’s career. He hasn’t looked back since then having worked with DJ Xclusive, D’ Prince, Samklef, Ketchup, Splash and others

                                                             Aje

2)    Aje- Another music video director on the heels of Clarence Peters is Aje.  His named popped up on the radar when he directed Rayce’s smash hit ‘Roll’ in 2011. He followed it up with Durella’s ‘My Life’ in the same year. His hard work paid off in 2012 when he directed Sinzu’s ‘Carolina’. The video was a huge hit but the best was yet to come. His big break came when he shot Brymo’s ‘Ara’ which many critics called the music video of the year. He has gone on to shoot big music videos such as Davido’s ‘Feel Alright’.

Matt Maxx with rapper Phyno during a video shoot

3)    Matt Maxx- Matt Maxx is the newest of the bunch. His first mainstream music video appeared on TV screens last year when he directed Coco Ice’s ‘If You Don’t Know’. His work on her music video must have impressed Olamide who recruited the new director to shoot two of his music videos ‘Voice of the Streets’ and ‘Stupid Love’. That gave him the big break he needed. This year he directed D’Banj’s ‘Don’t Tell Me Nonsense’ video.

                                                        Moe Musa

 4)    Moe Musa-  Moe Musa is a newbie when it comes to directing music videos in Nigeria. With only 5 years experience, he has shot music videos for some of the biggest stars in Nigeria. His first notable work came out last year when he directed the EME video ‘Get Down Tonight’. His career blew up from then. He has since directed videos for Wande Coal, Iyanya, Ice Prince, Fuse ODG, Seyi Shay, May D, Dr. Sid and others. Moe Musa is now one of the most sought after music video directors in Nigeria even though he is based in the UK.

                                          Olalekan Buari a.ka. Unlimited L.A

5)    Unlimited L.A- Unlimited L.A whose real names are Olalekan Buari started handling the camera in 2008 under the tutelage of DJ Tee. L.A isn’t just your average music video director as he prefers to call himself a cinematographer. He shot his first video in 2009. He directed Blackmagic’s ‘Rainbow’ in 2011 and ‘Repete’ the following year. His big break came this year when he shot Sean Tizzle’s ‘Sho Lee’ four months ago. The video to the hit single put Unlimited L.A’s name as one of the most promising music video directors. Since then he has shot videos for other Nigerian stars including Tilla Man.
